DRDifferent Requests

Terms of use

Effective October 15, 2026. Different Productions, LLC.

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Different Productions, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we" and "us"), for Different Requests. Our business address is 169 Madison Ave STE 88753, New York, NY 10016. They take effect on October 15, 2026.

Different Requests is a hosted service and a Swift SDK. The SDK puts a feature-request board inside your app. The service stores the board, answers the API, and gives you a dashboard. These terms cover both. They are written for a business. If a law gives someone a right these terms cannot take away, that right still applies.

The service

We provide the hosted board, the API, the dashboard, and the SDK. What Free includes and what Pro adds is described on the pricing page. We may change, suspend, or withdraw a feature. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Accounts

You sign up with an email address. You are responsible for activity on the account, for anyone you let into the dashboard, and for keeping the API key and the signing secret confidential. If you believe either has leaked, write to support@differentrequests.com. The account information you give us has to be accurate.

Acceptable use

You will not do any of the following, and you will not allow an end user to:

  • Break the law, or violate someone else's rights.
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to break the service, or work around a limit we set.
  • Overload the service, or upload malware.
  • Resell the service, or offer it as a competing product.

You are responsible for requests, comments, and other content your end users submit. We may remove content, or suspend access, that breaks these terms.

Customer data and end-user data

You are the controller of personal data about your end users that the service processes. We are the processor. We process it only to provide the service, as the privacy page describes: the identifier your app sends, an optional email address and name, what they write, votes, follows, and a device token if you register one for push notifications.

We do not sell that data. You are responsible for your own privacy notice, for having a lawful basis to collect the data, and for the requests your end users make of you, including access and deletion. The dashboard can delete an end user's data, as the privacy page describes. Requests and comments they wrote can remain on the board, shown as written by a deleted user.

These terms are our instructions for that processing. Write to support@differentrequests.com if you need a separate data processing addendum.

Fees

Pro is a monthly subscription, priced per app, at the price on the pricing page. That price is before tax. There is no annual plan. While you are paying, adding or removing a Pro app is prorated for the rest of the month. An app turned on is charged for the remainder. An app turned off is credited for the remainder. Taking the last Pro app off does not cancel the subscription.

You authorize us, and Stripe, to charge the payment method you provide. We never see the card number. If a payment fails, Pro turns off until a payment succeeds, as the pricing page describes.

Refunds and taxes

You can cancel at any time. Fees already paid for the current month are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund. We may refund a billing error or a duplicate charge, at our discretion. Ask by writing to support@differentrequests.com.

Tax is calculated at checkout where it applies, and added to the price. You are responsible for any tax we are not required to collect.

Cancellation

Choose Back to Free beside an app in the dashboard. If it is the last Pro app, cancel the subscription in Stripe from Billing, so the next month is not charged. We do not promise to keep an account's data after it is closed. Copy what you need before you cancel.

Intellectual property

We own the service, the dashboard, and our trademarks. You own your app, your trademarks, and the content you and your end users submit. You grant us a license to host, display, and process that content only to provide the service. The license for a piece of content ends when that content is deleted from the service.

The SDK license

The Swift package in the SDK repository is licensed under the MIT License published in that repository. The MIT License covers the SDK source. It does not by itself give you the right to use the hosted service. Calling the API requires an account and an API key, and that use is covered by these terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service and the SDK are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and any warranty from a course of dealing or usage of trade. Some places do not allow these disclaimers. Where they do not, the disclaimers apply to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for Different Requests in the twelve months before the claim, and one hundred US dollars.

These limits do not apply to liability that a law does not allow us to limit, including our fraud or willful misconduct, and they do not apply to a party's indemnity below. Some places do not allow these limits. Where they do not, the limits apply to the fullest extent the law allows.

Indemnity

You will indemnify Different Productions, LLC and its members and agents against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of your app, content you or your end users submit, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

We will indemnify you against a third-party claim that the service, as we provide it, infringes that party's copyright or trademark. This does not cover a claim arising from your content, from combining the service with something we did not provide, or from your continuing to use the service after we told you to stop. The party asking to be indemnified must give prompt notice and reasonable cooperation. We may control the defense of a claim against us.

Termination

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that does not pay, that breaks these terms, or that creates a risk for the service or for other people. The sections on fees you still owe, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law survive.

Changes

We may change these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will also email the address on the account. If you keep using the service after the effective date, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, cancel before that date.

Governing law

Delaware law governs these terms, without its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware are the exclusive venue, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
